Sitters, Scootchers & Crawlers Developmental Play
This group is for babies who are sitting on their own or are beginning to explore by rolling, scootching or crawling. These developmental milestones bring many changes and we spend time each week discovering fun activities to stimulate the budding adventurers.
Each session introduces developmentally appropriate play and motor-skill activities and discussion topics. Using silk scarves, maracas, a tunnel, obstacle courses and other developmentally-appropriate tools, children will be encouraged to develop their motor skills. Parents will be guided in how to continue practicing these skills between classes and how to set appropriate expectations for each individual child. Time is allowed for open conversation; we want to hear what is going on with each momma and baby!
This class is led by an occupational therapist and mother, Melanie Salort. Parents rave about her fun-loving and inspirational attitude as well as her creativity and wisdom. Come find out for yourself.
